The Avalon Foundation is committed to bringing artistic and creative opportunities to the youth in our community.
The presence of theatre in a child's life will bring confidence, self esteem, social skills and heightened creativity.
OUR THEATRE, OUR STAFF
There’s no question that the Avalon Theatre is a special place. The feeling of theatrical magic and mystery is palpable to
anyone who has spent time on our stage or in the audience. Having the chance to “do theatre” at the Avalon adds an
extra dimension to our summer camp experience. It is uplifting and inspiring to share the space where 80 + years of
entertainment history - including music, vaudeville, drama, comedy and film - have taken place.
All the summer programs presented by the Avalon Foundation have been developed
by performing arts professionals, and are taught by instructors with appropriate level
training, industry experience and academic credentials. Our summer staff members are
united in their caring, creative, and passionate dedication to the arts and arts education.
Petite Players {students entering grades K - 3}
June 17 - 21, half-days 9am - 12pm
$150 ~ Performance at Noon Friday, June 21
The focus of this introductory theatre program is to develop creativity and self-
confidence through acting, singing, poetry, movement, storytelling, and FUN!!

Curtain Call {students entering grades 3 - 8}
July 8 - 12, 9am - 3pm
$275 ~ Performance at 7:00pm Friday, July 12
Curtain Call is a flexibly designed program to accommodate beginners as well
as experienced young actors. The curriculum includes theatre games, storytelling,
script writing, voice and movement techniques, character development, and stagecraft.

Petite Players ~ Encore
{students entering grades K - 4}
June 24- 28, FULL DAYS 9am - 3pm
$250 ~ Performance at 3:00 Friday, June 21
This is a continuation of the Petite Players curriculum (see above), only MORE!
More time, a little more challenge, and even more FUN! Activities will vary from PP week 1, so
children can register for both weeks. There will be a guest performer with workshop during the week.

SummerFame {students entering grades 7 - 12}
July 22 - 26, 9am - 4pm
$275 ~ Performance at 7:00pm Friday, July 26
SummerFame is a interdisciplinary immersion into the world of musical theatre.
This intense one week program of singing, dancing and acting is suitable
for ALL levels of experience.
