Outdoor Summer Concert Series in Downtown EastonEach summer, the Avalon Foundation seeks out regional performers and military bands to cover a wide range of tastes in good music. These concerts are held on downtown streets and parks. Streets are closed to traffic so that visitors can fill streets and sidewalks with lawn or camp chairs to enjoy the performances. The family-friendly concerts are free and open to the public. Children are welcome and dancing is encouraged.Clean Water Concert SeriesThe Clean Water Concert Series is co-sponsored by the Avalon Foundation and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Join us on Harrison Street in downtown Easton as we present live music and education about the Chesapeake Bay Foundations "Clean Water Blueprint". These events are Free and open for all to enjoy. Harrison Street will be transformed into an environmental block party at 6pm and the music will begin at 7pm. XPD’s Saturday, June 8, Harrison Street One of the best bands in the metropolitan area, XPD’s appear frequently in the Easton area laying down Motown, R&B, and funk tunes that have everyone on their feet and dancing to the groove! Eastport Oyster Boys Saturday, June 29, Harrison Street A troupe of Chesapeake Bay troubadours celebrating life here in the "Land of Pleasant Living" and along the shores of the Chesapeake through song and story and mirth... The Eastport Oyster Boys have been acclaimed as the Musical Goodwill Ambassadors from the City of Annapolis, the Maritime Republic of Eastport and the Chesapeake.
U.S. Navy Country Current Saturday, July 6 – Washington Street (Rain Venue: Avalon Theatre), 7 p.m. The Navy’s premiere country-bluegrass ensemble is nationally renowned for its versatility and “eye-popping” musicianship, performing a blend of modern country music and cutting-edge bluegrass. MuleTrain Saturday, July 27 – Harrison Street (Rain Venue: Avalon Theatre), 7 p.m. One of the Shore’s favorite bands, MuleTrain draws inspiration from Wilco and the Avett Brother, covering a variety of classic favorites along with original tunes. Upper Chesapeake Community Band Saturday, August 3 – Washington Street (Rain Venue: Avalon Theatre), 7 p.m. The Upper Chesapeake Community Band is an all-age, all-volunteer organization whose purpose for almost 20 years has been to provide premium concert music for the surrounding Bay community.
U.S. Army Volunteers Saturday, August 17 – Harrison Street (Rain Venue: Avalon Theatre), 7 p.m. Since its inception in 1981, the rocking six-piece U.S. Volunteers has been telling the Army story around the world through rock, pop, country, and patriotic music.
U.S. Navy Cruisers Saturday, August 24 – Washington Street (Rain Venue: Avalon Theatre), 7 p.m. As the U.S. Navy’s premier contemporary entertainment ensemble, the Cruisers feature eight of the Navy's most dynamic performers playing genres of music ranging from jazz & standards, rhythm & blues, classic rock, adult contemporary and pop as well as original material.
